Sound

I am a weaver. Not only of wool, but of concepts, ambiance, people, color, sounds, and more. Music was one of my first passions, and I studied it formally through college. I was born in Africa and I have always been drawn to worldly music and instruments. I am interested in the exploration of many types of instruments and styles of music from all over the world and how to weave those sounds into my music. I feel like each instrument has a personality and a voice of its own, based on elements like what it is made of, where they are from, and how they have been used in societies. Playing these instruments invites the spirit of that culture into the present moment. Weaving different instruments together takes us both on a worldly journey, and a journey within.

I currently offer public events at Yoga Studios including, Yoga Central in Wichita, A Work in Progress in Salina, and Sunflower Yoga in Hutchinson. These are held around the season changes.
